SCG Marathon Cricket Day
In January 2010, the inaugural event was organised and staged by The Primary Club of Australia. A magnificent day, where participants lived their dream of playing cricket on the hallowed SCG turf. Rare opportunities such as afternoon tea in the members pavillion and occupying the same dressing rooms of the likes of Bradman and co. An amazing experience just being there. Afterwards, dinner in the company of Richie Benaud and Arthur Morris and a host of cricket friends and notables. Wow! Well done to the organisers.
The Children's Hope Foundation fielded a team at the event, with everyone personally paying their own way to contribute to the endeavours of The Primary Club. Their achievement was fantastic. Some interesting tales on the day.
